Texas’ Outstanding Young Litigator Award

The Litigation Section of the State Bar of Texas is pleased to announce the creation of the Texas’ Outstanding Young Litigator Award. The Litigation Section created the Texas’ Outstanding Young Litigator Award to recognize outstanding service and accomplishments by attorneys that have been practicing for ten years or less, and who are often less likely to receive recognition for their incredible achievements.

The following criteria will be used to choose the awardee:

  • Demonstrated commitment to equal justice under law
  • Conduct promoting the rule of law
  • Outstanding examples of professionalism
  • One or more significant contributions to the community through legal representation, service to a community organization, or service to the State Bar
  • Must be licensed to practice law less than 10 years as of the nomination date.

To nominate a worthy young attorney, please complete a nomination form and submit it and any other relevant information by May 17, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. by email to Hon. Christine Stetson.

This award will be presented at the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting during the Litigation Section’s CLE track on June 20 at the Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The recipient will receive an award and the Section will make a $500 charitable donation in the recipient’s name to the organization of the recipient’s choice.

Please help us recognize the contribution of an outstanding young litigator by sending in a nomination.
